Topperはトリノ(イタリア・ピエモンテ州)でいわゆるヒッピーカルチャーに典型的な物や音楽に囲まれて育ち、ジェファーソン・エアロプレイン、グレイトフル・デッド、ピンク・フロイドから日常的にインスピレーションを受ける。”ヒッピー”だった父からの影響は甚大で、音楽のマジカルな世界やサイケデリックカルチャーは彼から教わった。そして新しいミレニアムの到来と共にベルリンに移住。それ以来彼は自分の音楽と向き合い実験を重ね、電子・録音音楽の未踏の領域を探求してきた。彼はClub der Visionäreのレジデントであり、パーティー’Noisy Glance’は箱の名物の一つである。またDaniel Daphiniと共に参加したSleep is Commercialではレーベルのサウンドの核となる存在でもある。エンジニアリング技術を学び終えた2014年にはアルバム’Down by the River’をリリースし、その他のシングルやリミックスの数々も好評を得ている。さらに名うてのPausenraumスタジオに移籍してからは、ハードウェア機材を使ったジャムスタイルの制作へとシフトして、2015年にはそこから３つのレーベルが生まれることなり、さながら現在のブードゥ・チャイルド(©︎Jimi Hendrix)のような活動をしている。
Topper grew up in Turin (IT) surrounded by substances and tunes typical of a hippie-kind of environment. Jefferson Airplane, Grateful Dead, and Pink Floyd were his daily inspirations. His dad, the "hippie," had a huge influence, introducing him to the magical world of music and psychedelic culture. Right at the beginning of the 3rd millennium, Topper moved to Berlin. Since then, he's been experimenting with his sound, exploring the hidden shapes of electronic and recorded music. He's a resident DJ at Club der Visionäre, hosting the infamous Noisy Glance party. Topper, along with Daniele Papini, joined Sleep is Commercial, becoming a key figure in the label's sound. After sound engineering studies, in 2014, he released his first LP “Down by the River” and several well-received EPs and remixes. Moving to the infamous Pausenraum studio marked a shift into a jam-based creative process with hardware setups, leading to the foundation of three labels in 2015. A contemporary voodoo child.
